Recruiting, managing and developing people with a disability or health condition: A practical guide for managers.
The CIPD’s Health and Wellbeing at work survey report (2018) found that line managers knowledge and confidence is a common challenge when managing people with a disability or long-term health condition. As a result, CIPD and Disability Confident have collaborated to produce this practical guide for managers which aims to support line managers with their knowledge and confidence around managing an employee, with a disability or health condition. Within the practical guide there are top tips and information on different stages of the employee life cycle; workplace adjustments, recruitment, disclosure & confidentiality, retaining people, sickness absence, performance and development, career progression, leavers and more.
