Stress management competency indicator tool. How effective are you at preventing and reducing stress in your staff?

This tool was developed as a result of a four stage research programme; the aim of this evidence-based 'Stress management competency indicator tool' is to help managers assess whether behaviours identified as effective for preventing and reducing stress at work are part of their management repertoire. The tool helps managers to reflect upon their own behaviour and management style; managers can then calculate their score on the four different behavioural areas and identify if any of the areas are development needs or whether managers are reasonable or effective in each area. Tips and ideas on how managers can improve their effectiveness in preventing and reducing stress at work are also provided.
