Self-compassion at work programme

This compassion programme, which includes four, 40-50 minutes self-guided webinar sessions, introduces the concepts around cultivating self-compassion at work. The programme has been developed based on academic evidence and best practice which supports an approach to improve aspects of self-compassion. The four sessions cover; 1) an introduction to self-compassion at work, 2) an introduction to self-kindness, 3) an introduction to common humanity and mindfulness and 4) an introduction to develop and maintain practice. This programme requires payment to be accessed.

Samaritans working with compassion: A toolkit for Wales

The Samaritans consulted with a number of representatives from a range of organisations (e.g. frontline staff from organisations such as the police service and third sector organisations) to develop the working with compassion toolkit. The toolkit aims to help develop compassionate approaches and interactions between employees, customers and service users. This resource provides information, top tips and actions which can be used to encourage readers to be more compassionate towards themselves and towards others, with a specific focus on poor mental health and emotional distress.

Based on self-compassion research by Dr. Kristin Neff (who developed the self-compassion scale), this resource includes a range of guided meditations and exercises to support an individual to develop their self-compassion. There are eight exercises in total and seven guided meditations for users to choose from.

Compassionate Mind Foundation: Multiple resources

The Compassionate Mind Foundation, founded by Professor Paul Gilbert (the founder of compassion focused therapy, CFT), is a charity which promotes wellbeing using scientific understanding and practical application of compassion. Their work is based on compassion theory and CFT literature and research. Their exercises and resources page contain guidance on; an introduction of CFT, background of CFT, CFT and compassionate mind training, flow of compassion, evolution, compassion and happiness, building a compassionate image and other resources.

Compassionate Leadership Coaching Programme

Run by Dr Amanda Super this 8 week programme has been found to develop compassionate, inclusive and effective leaders at all levels, in a range of services and sectors. The programme consists of coaching sessions with Amanda, online training webinars and a variety of resources (e.g. reflective diaries and podcasts). The programme can be delivered individually or in small groups.
